송년을 밝히는 합창음악의 진수 헨델의 <메시아(MESSIAH)>

서울시합창단은 2010년 12월 7일(화) 오후 7시30분 세종 대극장에서 헨델의 대표작이자 동서고금을 통틀어 종교음악의 백미로 꼽히는 <메시아(MESSIAH)>를 연주한다.

<메시아>는 영국의 시인 ‘찰스 제넨스’가 성서와 기도문을 인용하여 영어로 쓴 대본을 바탕으로 완성되었으며 <예언과 탄생>, <수난과 속죄>, <부활과 영원한 생명>의 3부로 구성된다. 아리아와 합창곡 53곡 중 38곡을 발췌하여 연주한다.

할렐루야 코러스가 시작되면 기립하여 감상하던 관례에서 한 걸음 더 나아가 관객과 함께하는 합창무대를 마련 한다. 세종 대극장 1층 400석(1만원)을 싱어롱 좌석으로 마련하여 교회 성가대 및 아마추어 합창단 등의 참여로 웅장한 대합창을 준비하여 이번 연주의 백미가 될 것이다. 싱어롱 좌석은 서울시합창단(399-1777)에서 전화예약을 받는다.



객원 솔리스트(오은경,류현수,이원준,정상천)와 캄머오케스터 서울의 만남

이번 공연에는 오은경(소프라노), 류현수(알토), 이원준(테너), 정상천(베이스)이 객원솔리스트로 참여하며, ‘캄머오케스터 서울’이 객원연주를 담당하게 되었다. 특히 한국음악계 정상급 성악가들의 솔리스트 참여가 눈여겨 볼만하다. 올 연말을 소중한 사람들과 따뜻하게 즐길 수 있는 공연이 될 것이다.
